"The Performance Digest allows me to apply new research more quickly and effectively into my coaching.”

1,000+ new and relevant sports science studies
are published every month.
Everybody knows that knowledge is power.

They also know that knowledge without application/transference to coaching practice is pointless. So not only do you need to learn as much as you can, but you also need to be able to apply that knowledge to your daily practice, or you've wasted your time.

Whether you’re at the top of your field or an aspiring exercise science student, keeping on top of the latest research findings and applications is crucial to accelerating your career and personal branding.

But there’s three major problems…

Problem #1 - Everybody seems to have an exercise science degree

Just about every sports performance coach nowadays has a degree or several, a CSCS, ASCC, or ASCA S&C accreditation, is doing, or has done, multiple internships, and trying to attend just about every course, conference, and workshop they can possibly afford. Many have also even begun creating Facebook and Instagram "Performance Coach" accounts and have started creating and sharing single-study infographics, which, unfortunately, bastardises sports science. I'll explain...

If you've done a sports science degree of any sort, you'll understand that not all studies are good, in fact, many are extremely poor quality. I'm sure you can see the issue with single-study infographics when they offer no background information into the methods of a study (e.g. participants, commercial interests, testing protocols, etc.). So, if you want to be an "evidence-based" practitioner but get your information from these types of infographics, please think again.

Problem #2 - There are a lot more qualified coaches than there are jobs.

So, what happens?

The best professionals (i.e. those dedicated to their craft and career) enter into their dream jobs in elite sport, exercise physiology, or private practice. They live the dream of training elite-level athletes and do so in some of the most prestigious competitions in the world; for example, the English Premier League, La Liga, Olympic Games, International Rugby, NFL, or the NBA.

Where does the overflow of S&C coaches and exercise scientists go?

To the gym; to personal training; to exercising.

A standard university degree does not give us the right to call ourselves "performance coaches". Only through continued learning, including a mix of constant personal and professional development allows us to achieve such a goal, and it is only those who will land their dream jobs in elite-level sport; simple.

The only thing which separates elite sport and personal training is your drive, your passion, and your commitment to being the best coach you can possibly be. To be the best coach you can be, you need to be constantly learning (e.g. reading) and coaching.

You are in full control of your career, nobody else. Your mind is your greatest asset and your personality is your greatest skill. Combining knowledge with practical application is the only way to separate yourself from the rest, and it is the only way to get to the top in this industry.

Problem #3 - Finding high-quality continuing education.

We've all been there, that is, searching for some high-quality CEU/CPD approved online learning content to satisfy our re-accreditation process as the deadline for renewal lingers above our heads. Unfortunately, all we seem to find is irrelevant, overpriced, and poor-quality resources.

Fortunately for you, Science for Sport has noticed this pain and decided to do something about it. As a result, you can now earn CEU/CPD home-study points for many of the top organisations in the world, including the NSCA and ASCA. Better still, you can earn your CEU/CPD points wherever, whenever you like with our online quizzes.
Earn your CEU/CPD points for the following:
Earn your compulsory CEU/CPD points to all the major education providers. Without earning them you won't be able to satisfy your required CEU/CPD for your re-accreditation and will lose your accreditation/certification. You worked hard and spent the money to get them, so make sure you earn the necessary CEU/CPD points to keep them.
